Formation is a life-long discipleship! Formation is a continuing journey with God. Through Formation we can grow into a stewardship life; a deeper life that loves God, as He loves us. Such formation is a personal challenge as it involves the education of the mind and conversion of heart. Reflect on what ideas you might have to strengthen your own formation-take the initiative to join a parish ministry that best suits your interests or talents as you develop your personal relationship with God. We are a light of each other!

When you will lead a life worthy of the Lord And pleasing to Him in every way.  You will multiply good works of every sort And grow in the knowledge of God.”  Colossians 1:10

WE ARE A LIGHT FOR EACH OTHER!

RCIA prepares adults to receive the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist) and fully enter the Catholic Church. It involves a formation of mind and heart as participants learn about Catholic faith and practice and become integrated into our parish community. Participation is open to anyone, baptized or not, who desires to know more about the Catholic Church. RCIA is held in the lower level beginning at 7:00 pm every Thursday.

Volunteers are needed to sponsor each person in the program, to lead Gospel reflections with the group on Sunday morning, and to help with Thursday night teaching sessions.

Anyone high school age or older is invited to join one of the bible study groups at Holy Cross Parish.  We use different bible studies and books to strengthen our faith and increase our knowledge of the Bible.  A past bible study has been “Great Adventures” series with question/answer workbooks and DVDs to go along with each study.  Studies vary in week length and cost.  Watch the bulletin for more information.

YOU DON’T NEED TO LIKE WINE!

I’m not a wine drinker, so why do I want to invest my time in the CHOICE WINE program? The Choice Wine program recalls the first public miracle that Jesus performed at the Wedding Feast of Cana when He changed water to wine for a worried bride and groom when the wine ran short. The best wine was saved until last. Similarly, as you strive to live your sacrament and enrich your marital relationship you will come to see that the best hs been saved for last – the eternal Wedding Feast of the Lamb.

Registration forms are now available on the Holy Cross Parish website or in back of church and will continue to be available until the first session begins next fall. Registration is limited to 25 couples and there is a $10 registration fee to cover the cost of materials for the nine-session program which will start run from 3 – 5 p.m. in the lower level of the Church. Come join us! Questions
