The current Parish Council at Holy Cross serves as a body of leadership and collaboration with the pastor for all endeavors within the parish.  Structured according to the four pillars of Stewardship:  Hospitality, Prayer, Formation, and Service, each ministry within the parish is represented on the Council by 9 members on a 3 year rotation (July) and by permanent members:  priests & (sister if present).  A Chair and Secretary will be appointed who will work with the pastor to coordinate agenda items and set meetings. The 9 rotational members serve as liaisons between their respective ministry they represent and a few others assigned to them which covers all (approximate) 47 parish ministries &/or councils.  The 6 annual meetings (every other month, usually on the second Thursday) offer a venue for the pastor, his staff, and each respective ministry leader to both learn about pertinent activities and be a sounding board for new ideas and up-coming events.  Anyone from the parish is welcome to attend at any time and may be appointed by the pastor as an ad hoc member.  Actions are carried out by consensus at the pastor’s discretion.
