The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) prepares adults (ages 15 and older) to enter the Catholic Church through the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist).
It is a process of discernment and about building a relationship over time with both God and the Catholic community. Participation is open to the non-baptized, baptized Christians of other denominations, and baptized Catholics who wish to be confirmed and receive the Eucharist.
Catechesis meetings begin in August. At Easter Vigil, the catechumens and candidates receive the sacraments and are welcomed fully into the Church.
Volunteers are needed to serve in a wide variety of ways. Members of the parish are needed to sponsor each person going through the program and to introduce them to the Parish life. We also need volunteers to serve on the team, to make presentations, to lead Gospel Reflection, or to provide snacks on an RCIA night.
